Might as well get that stupid "I was robbed" entry off of my front page. I'm still angry about losing that money and always will be. But hey, I have a new wallet. Que sera, sera. I did apologize to the theatre staff; they did not deserve the abrasive, nasty treatment they got from me.
What's done is done, right?
I've garnered quite a bit of praise from my Joker/Mary Sue spoof fic...50-something reviews in a week.
[link] I know it's because I posted it in a popular section, but still, all that praise means a lot to me.
Now if I could just figure out why people want the Ledger Joker's babies...I don't even want that guy's mouth near my face! I don't understand fangirls.
I've also recieved a request to co-mod a community for fanfic reccomendations. So...I'm a mod! I have power! I am a judge, a judge of quality! All are privy to my double-edged sword of...ah...justice of good...writing? Either way, I'm flattered.
And I'm heading back to school shortly. But isn't everyone?

And congratulations on coming to this realization about yourself! I hope you find happiness with whomever you're with, man or woman.
It's a bit awkward for me to explain it...maybe I will, in time. Suffice it to say, I've come to terms with the fact that although I'm primarily attracted to men, there are women in my life who I am attracted to as well. And that's alright.

Thank you! I hope you manage to enjoy them.
So my message didn't go through...ah...I had thought I had upset or offended you because in the message I had asked if you could tell me the story of how you figured out you were bisexual. If you don't want to, that's fine though!
And the name of the forum is Gotham Rogues Society. I'll type out the address with a few spaces in between the letters so it'll show.

I'll be sure to tell you what I think. I'm sure they're not that bad- and I'd rather read a Joker/Harley story than the simply terrible Joker/Original Character stories that keep popping up.
Yes, plus it's more ethical than breaking kneecaps. And it's legal.
I guess your message didn't get through.

Well, I suppose they aren't terrible, and you can take a look if you want, but be kind.
Exactly. The best revenge is writing well...and turning a negative experience into a positive one! ^_^
By the way, what did you think of my television show idea? I noticed I never got a message back from you before; maybe it didn't go through because the messaging on deviantART hasn't been working smoothly since the update.
I still have a lot of cash laid up, so I think I'll start investing in the DVD's eventually. And hey, I've probably written worse in the past...then again, the material that I consider the absolute nadir of my writing career has never been on the internet.
Across the Universe's plot was amazingly flimsy. While Mamma Mia's story had some holes and felt rushed in places (ecspecially near the end), it was quite a bit better than the former film's. I can't believe how overrated it is.
Considering you can publish a novel about almost anything these days, I wouldn't mind trying a hand at it. I could make my losses back, and then some.

That's so awesome that you used to watch BTAS. It's one of my favorite shows, as you can probably tell.
Same. I heard a lot of hype about "Across the Universe" and it seemed like it might be my kind of my movie (since I love Beatles music, musicals, 60s stuff, etc) but it was such a major disappointment. In addition to the problems I already mentioned to you, the songs they chose really weren't even songs I liked except a few; I love Beatles' older stuff but think their later stuff is pretty pretentious and not musically appealing either. The whole 60s liberal angle was rather poorly-done as well and seemed like recycled, unconvincing tripe. Glad to talk to someone who agrees with me, since a lot of my friends love the movie too. ^^
Hey, that idea isn't bad! Sounds quite funny actually; maybe you can novelize it and then this experience can earn you millions of dollars from book sales!

I used to watch that show all the time back when it was still on the air! In fact, it's probably what got me started on the franchise as a whole. (This reminds me: I need to go back and read your Joker/Harley fanfics.)
So many of my friends love Across the Universe, and I can't stand it in the least. Well...I don't hate it, but I think it's grossly overrated. And while Mamma Mia had its flaws, it pulled off the jukebox musical concept with much more finesse.
(Speaking of my dillemna from the other day, I started playing it in my head as an absurdist comedy last night, which helped a a lot. "Attend the tale of the up-and-coming lawyer, who undermines the court system, aggressively confronts each and every known criminal in court during the space of one day, and wastes thousands of dollars in taxpayer money, in order to find the punk who stole his wallet and the hundred-or-so dollars in it." The pictures that produced helped a lot.

If you are interested, here's the link to my Batman forum, in case your new obsession needs some nourishing: [link]
Also, have you seen "Batman: The Animated Series" from 1992?
And yes, I saw Mamma Mia. I only knew a couple of songs in it beforehand, but I still enjoyed all the music and thought it fit it very well with the story, which was refreshing. I recently saw "Across the Universe" and the Beatles songs featured really didn't flow that well with the plot and their placement in the movie often came across as forced and rather annoying. Mamma Mia luckily didn't have that problem, although it did have others, like a little bit of awkward acting and some sub-par writing.
I was a bit skeptical as well, but he just took the role and ran away with it. I think he really let the audience get a feel for how crazy the Joker was.
(I was surprised at all the little kids in the audience. Well, not surprised- it's Batman- but a bit on edge about it; this was a very dark, very long movie, and I wouldn't be surprised if most of them went home with nightmares.)
You know, I think my Simpsons obsession might've given way to a Batman obsession...
Actually, I already saw Mamma Mia! I loved it, although the plot definitely came second to the ABBA songs, and Pierce Brosnan cannot sing. (Meryl Steep was excellent, though.) Have you seen it, by any chance?

And yeah, the Joker's scenes were definitely my favorites as well. At first when I heard about Heath playing Joker, I was a bit skeptical, but much to my delight, he pulled off the role impeccably. One of my favorite lines is "I'm not a monster; I'm just ahead of the curve."
By the way, are you going to see Mamma Mia? I remember you once saying you liked the music of ABBA.
I know I don't actually have another side (who do I think I am, Two-Face?), but I'd rather think of it as that, then think of my violent, uneeded outburst as my own. The cinema staff did not have to put up with that breakdown- they have their own job and did all they could.
I loved it from start to finish, but I have to say that my favorite scenes involved all involved the Joker. Heath Ledger just did amazing in that role: he was as crazy as the Clown Prince of Crime was supposed to be- and then some.
As for favorite lines, I think it'd be that one line of Harvey Dent's: "Either you die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." It was sadly true in his case.

But on a happier subject, I'm glad to hear you loved The Dark Knight. It was really a fantastic film.
